Look at your bank account… or in your safe at home… or even at the state of your business.. If you’re not happy with what you see… it’s a direct reflection of you. Period.
But let’s reverse engineer your current circumstance real quick. Let’s say you open up whatever bank app you use on your phone… and you check your bank account. And you instantly feel a little stressed because you realize you have just enough to pay your bills this month. Or maybe you even have a little more than that, but it’s nowhere near what you actually want, or what you’d consider wealthy.
Well, those numbers you’re not happy with… are a direct result of the habits you have or don’t have. And I know some people may be joining us specifically at this episode, and this is worth repeating anyways, but EVERYTHING you have or don’t have in this life is a direct byproduct of your habits. And your habits, what you do on a daily basis, is dictated by your identity, really… who you are and how you’re being.
And the most important thing for you to understand is that when you change your habits, you change your life. Alright so… you’re not making the money you want… and the only reason I use the word “making” there is because that might be your representation of how money comes into your life. Really, how I view money coming into my life is by me attracting it. The government makes the money… and it’s already out there in the world… we simply attract it. And listen, I know I talk about some seemingly esoteric concepts… but my intention, regardless of how outlandish it sounds, is to bring you empirically backed advice. As I like to call it… science-based shit.
So when I say things like “you attract money”... I’m not saying it in some mystical, hocus pocus sort of way. There is actual scientific evidence supporting it. And listen, I don’t want this to be some science podcast, but it’s important that you learn some of the basic principles and laws that create the world around you. There has to be some conscious buy-in on your part where we satisfy that analytical part of your mind in order to make sense of what’s happening subconsciously.
We’ll get more into that in a bit.
But let me ask you something… why do you think 80% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck?
Well, I’ll tell you why… it’s because their current financial status is simply a reflection of their identity, specifically their identity around money, and they’ve been programmed… indoctrinated really… to make very little money.
They’ve developed beliefs and values that are not congruent with being wealthy. For example… many of us were told things like “money doesn’t grow on trees” and that we have to work hard, go to school, and get a quote unquote secure job working 9-5 for someone else.. Most of the time making less than $60,000 a year.
And this is often because of our parents. We end up with what I refer to as our financial temperature. Which is really dictated by our parents.. And when I say may parents… I mean your mother father or whoever raised you… could be a grandparent or someone else…
But depending on their financial situation and how THEY viewed money, your beliefs and values around money are going to be VERY similar which of course will make it so you find yourself in a similar financial circumstance.
Of course, there are outliers and people can come out of poverty and make something of themselves… but by and large, an overwhelming majority of people have a financial temperature nearly identical to their parents.
I may have given this example before, but let’s say each of your parents made $60,000 per year and you all went on one nice vacation, and you always ate pretty well. In general, you were all pretty happy and your parents probably weren’t too stressed out about money.
Then lets say, on top of all of it, every time you saw someone driving a really fancy car your dad made a back handed comment about how all wealthy people are pretentious and no one needs that much money.
Well, as a kid, your brain has not yet fully developed and that conscious, analytical filter you have now, was not present. So your brain took in all that information as fact in order to develop beliefs, values, and habits… neurological programs really… in an effort to determine the best way for you to navigate this world.
So based on the data it used to develop those programs… you can see how our financial circumstance as adults is affected.
And here’s an important point before we continue… you can make $1,000,000 a year and still live paycheck to paycheck and be stressed about money.
You can make hundreds of millions of dollars a year and still end up broke faster than you made it. I mean look at professional athletes… I saw a study that revealed over 50% of NBA, NFL, and MLB players go bankrupt within just FIVE years of retirement.
And these are guys who make more in one year than most people make their entire lives.
I mean jeeze, basketball great Scottie Pippen who won SIX world championships, golf phenom Joe Daly, boxing legend Mike tyson who made over $400,000,000
THEY ALL WENT BROKE.
And don’t get me started on all the lottery winners who go broke faster than you can say “next ball up…”
So what I can tell you, without a shadow of a doubt, all the people I just mentioned, and those just like them… have beliefs and values that literally REPEL money… seriously… neurologically, their brains will do everything in their power to keep those types of individuals from staying rich.
And of course the brain does this by developing habits that will produce outcomes congruent with their limiting beliefs or lack of values around money.
This is actually an area I really enjoy helping people with. Helping them break bad money habits by eliminating their limiting beliefs and mental roadblocks via subconscious reprogramming.
Listen, I am confident that one of the greatest things you can do in life is help other people make more money. Because money is just energy… the same way I put a certain amount of gas in my car from New York to California, is the same way you need a certain amount of money to get you from where you are in life to where you want to be.
Money neither good nor evil, it is simply an amplifier… if you are a good person, it will amplify the good you do on this planet… if you are an evil person, it will amplify all the bad shit.
But, I’m a scary judge of character and I vet my clients as thoroughly as they should be vetting me. So I know I’m only working with good people.
And here’s the thing, when you come to work with me one on one… and let’s say you’re an entrepreneur or fellow coach, or even someone with a side hustle… and I help you shatter limiting beliefs around money and teach you how to literally reprogram your subconscious… and then that allows you to instantly start making 10s of thousands of more dollars… I’ve just directly exponentially amplified the good that’s going out into the world…
Because you are going to use all that money to help others by increasing your capacity to serve this world through what you are passionate about.
And that… that’s why I do what I do.
This honestly gets me pumped up just talking about it… because I’ve seen so many of my clients start attracting unreal amounts of money and it has literally transformed their lives and the lives of those around them.
I mean there’s this one client who… after just ONE conversation I had with him… he broke through his limiting beliefs and fears and took massive action on something he kept telling himself he shouldnt and couldnt do. And Basically, he was able to secure his dream position with his company… which then led to a potential multi-BILLION dollar deal falling into his lap. Now I did say potential deal, because a deal like that doesn’t just close after a few phone calls, theres months and months that go into ensuring all parties are taken care of…
But still… I know he’s going to close that deal… but even if he didn’t… he still has his dream job within this company and it’s all because we were able to reprogram his subconscious..
Man, can you tell I get hyped about this stuff?
You’re probably thinking… well Anthony how do I get all this money and opportunity coming into MY life.
Well, here it is… here’s the secret… you have to first BE wealthy in your mind before you can have external wealth.
Stay with me here… let’s say you buy a new car… a Jeep for example… what happens as soon as you drive it off the lot (besides depreciation?)... you start seeing other Jeeps everywhere! You notice other people wearing jeep t-shirts and your ears perk up everytime you hear a conversation about Jeeps?
Why is that? Well… part of your identity now is you being a Jeep owner… so what your brain does… and this happens neurologically through the Reticular Activating System.. Is it says “hey, John is a jeep owner now, that’s who he is, so we need to make sure he’s aware of every piece of information thats congruent with that identity”
The reticular activating system is a bunch of nerves in our brainstem that filters what information is important to us and what information isnt.
Your brain is almost incomprehensibly complex. It takes in billions of bits of data at any given moment and sorts through all of it faster than you can blink. And somehow, you don’t short circuit and you’re actually able organize that information subconsciously. Well, you have your Reticular Activating System to thank for that.
Why am I tell you all of this?
Because if you are not wealthy between the ears… and I’m talking at a brain based level… if you haven’t reprogrammed your subconscious beliefs and values around money… your brain is never going to seek out information that would lead to more money coming into your life.
So how do you become wealthy before you have all the money and fancy cars and the big house?
One word. Gratitude.
Start being grateful for shit. Start appreciating and be thankful for what you ALREADY have.
And I’m not telling you that so you feel good… I’m telling you that because the more gratitude you express, the more wealthy you will feel with what you already have.
Because wealth is not a condition, it is a perception.
And I’ve said that before in another episode, but it’s vital for you to understand if you want to start seeing more money show up in your life.
In fact, I’m going to say it again… wealth is not a condition, it’s a perception. It’s not about how many commas you have in your checking account, or how big your watch is, or the red bottoms you have in your closet…
It’s about shifting your perception around what you already have and being grateful for what you already have, no matter what society or your social media tells you is considered wealthy.
As you start conditioning yourself with gratitude, your brain will program your reticular activating system to SEEK OUT WEALTH. It will literally bring opportunity into your life in ways that you could never have imagined.
Take my client I mentioned before as an example… never in a million years could he have sat down with a pen and paper and written out his trajectory.. “Oh I’m gonna take massive action and talk to my boss about this new position I want, then I’m going to get this new position and the partners they assign me to are going to refer me a multi-billion dollar client”
Like… there’s no planning that. Which really demonstrates why you need to stop focusing on what you have to do or what you need to have, and start focusing on who and how you have to be.
I mean, it all goes back to the model of change I constantly advocate for. You must become who you need to be first in order to do what that type of person would do, which then results in you having the types of things that person would have.
There’s a reason they say the rich get richer… it’s because that’s WHO THEY ARE… it’s their identity… and everything in their life is a reflection of that.
And Before we wrap up… I want to leave you with an easy way to start reprogramming your brain for wealth.
So… you know water?... that stuff that keeps you alive… let’s you flush your toilet… allows you to take a shower and clean yourself… the stuff you use to cook food with and wash your car and what not
Well When was the last time you were thankful for it? Seriously. Have you ever sat back and appreciated the water you have in your life.
Here’s an easy way to condition yourself to be grateful… every time you use water, for any reason, say “I’m thankful for this water” or something to that effect. Use whatever is intuitive for you. But really tap into the feeling of being grateful for that water.
In fact, I even tell people to put post-it notes on every source of water in their house… their sinks, their showers, their waterbottles, their toilets even… and every time they see that note, it’s a reminder to be thankful.
Eventually, that gratitude becomes a habit and before you know it, you’ve become wealthy. And of course, more wealth follows. You’ll begin finding yourself being grateful for everything in your life, both big and small. And suddenly… your attention turns away from what you don’t have and you start focusing on what you do have…
As a result… your brain attracts more abundance into your life…
It’s science people!

Alight… So we’ve come to the point in the episode where I ask… what was the AHA factor for you in this episode? Something had to of clicked… something resonated… you heard something and suddenly all the dots were connected…
What was it?
How about the fact that wealth isn’t a condition, it’s a perception. And you can become wealthy by simply choosing to feel wealthy with what you already have.
Or maybe you finally realize that this isn’t all some mystical mumbo jumbo and it’s actually brain-based processes that dictate what you have or don’t have in this life.
Either way… as I said earlier… start being grateful for shit. And notice all the positive things that start coming your way.
